The two-week summer camp in Nanostructures for Biomedical and Sensor Applications offers theoretical and practical skills in synthesis, characterization, and study of quantum semiconductor nanocrystals, plasmonic and magnetic nanoparticles, as well as hybrid structures based on them, which are promising for theranostic systems and sensors. Lectures and workshops will be delivered by leading scientists in the relevant fields at ITMO University.
Students will be actively engaged in the bio- and sensor-nanoworld and will observe nanostructures as interdisciplinary objects, understanding of which requires the combined expertise in physical chemistry, biology, theoretical and experimental physics. The school will take place on-site, so students will also be able to visit St. Petersburg, one of the most beautiful cities in Russia.
